Self-Measure and Drawing
Measuring with Launchpad is straightforward and clicks-based.
- Select your layer (e.g., "Lawn") from your panel.
- Click points along the feature's border or area (like the edge of a lawn).
- Polygons are created in real-time—no fuss, no dragging endless points.
- Add point symbols to mark specific locations with customizable icons (added in v1.9.0).
If you're measuring something squiggly or non-rectangular, you have other tricks!
Point Symbols
Point symbols allow you to mark specific locations on your property map with visual markers. These are perfect for noting important features, equipment locations, or points of interest.
Available Point Symbols
Launchpad Map now includes an expanded array of point symbols to cover various property features:
Trees and Vegetation:
- Tree icon - Mark individual trees
- Shrub icon - Indicate bushes and shrubs
- Plant icon - General vegetation markers
Utilities and Infrastructure:
- Water valve icon - Mark water shut-offs
- Sprinkler head icon - Note irrigation points
- Electrical icon - Mark electrical boxes or outlets
- Gas meter icon - Indicate gas connections
- Light fixture icon - Mark lighting locations
Access Points:
- Gate icon - Mark entry/exit points
- Door icon - Building entrances
- Driveway icon - Vehicle access points
Features and Amenities:
- Pool icon - Swimming pools or water features
- Deck/Patio icon - Outdoor living spaces

How to Add Point Symbols
- Select the Point Tool from the toolbar
- Choose your desired symbol from the symbol picker
- Click on the map where you want to place the symbol
- The symbol appears at that location
- Add a label (optional) by clicking on the symbol and typing
Customizing Point Symbols
You can customize point symbols to match your needs:
Size: Adjust symbol size for visibility Color: Change colors to match your layer scheme Label: Add text descriptions to symbols Rotation: Rotate symbols to indicate direction Opacity: Adjust transparency for overlay clarity
Editing Point Symbols
To modify an existing point symbol:
- Click on the symbol to select it
- Choose Edit from the menu
- Change the symbol type, size, color, or label
- Save your changes
Deleting Point Symbols
To remove a point symbol:
- Select the symbol
- Press Delete key or choose Delete from the menu
- Confirm the deletion
